A traditional Iranian wedding in Capri
Carlos and Narges, a couple of Iranian origin, have chosen the evocative Giardini di Augusto a Capri in Capri to celebrate a traditional Iranian wedding, the Sofrehye Aghd, a wedding banquet held on a short table with a rich offer. The preparation of this table is particularly accurate, because it is believed to bring good fortune to marriage life. The Sofreh included a big mirror, candlesticks, a tray of spices and honey, the Quran and a silk sheet held by the bridesmaids over the couple’s heads.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds have been accompanied to the evocative restaurant Villa Margherita, where they enjoyed aperitivo on the terrace and they have been entertained by the folkloric band Scialapopolo for about a hour, before continuing with dinner until the cutting of the cake.
The cutting of the cake has been a particularly meaningful moment, with the newlyweds suggesting the evocative “cutting of knives”: the women dance, giving the knife to the grooms, who in turn give to them a symbolic offering before proceding to the cutting of the wedding cake.
My Capri Day Team has coordinated every detail skillfully, while the photos of unforgettable moments have been captured by Umberto d’Aniello e Elmojitiero Photographer. The atmosphere has been curated by FX Extreme by Paolo Caiazzo, while BeautyLivery has guaranteed that the bride would be radiant regarding make-up and hairstyle, and Daniela Diaz Studio has contributed to stationery with a refined graphic.
