The Lighthouse of Punta Carena
The Punta Carena lighthouse (Faro di Punta Carena) is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and beloved corners of the island of Capri. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in Italy (it was lit for the first time in 1867) and one of the brightest. But why is it so loved? In addition to representing a piece of the island’s history, it is one of the best points from which to admire the rocky bay of Punta Carena, allowing the gaze of bewitched visitors to extend as far as the island of Ischia.
